Suede are an English rock band formed in London in 1989, widely considered pioneers of the 1990s Britpop movement. Known for their distinctive glam rock, post-punk style, and charismatic frontman Brett Anderson, they achieved significant, rapid success in the UK, becoming one of the "big four" of Britpop alongside Oasis, Blur, and Pulp.

Suede achieved massive success as pioneering leaders of the 1990s Britpop movement, marked by their chart-topping, Mercury Prize-winning 1993 self-titled debut and the highly successful 1996 album Coming Up. Led by vocalist Brett Anderson, the band combined glam rock, punk, and indie pop to create a distinctive, decadent sound.

Following a hiatus, they reunited and continue to find critical and commercial success with recent acclaimed albums like Autofiction.
